Chapter 6 Essay

Each week in one of my psychology classes I have to write an Essay on the topic given. I thought I would post one today, because lately once I am done writing my essays, I really don't want to write on my blog because I am all written out!
Just for your refrence Chapter 6 is called "Gaining Self Awareness"

Chapter 6 Essay

Children learn many of their inner rules from parents or other significant adults. Write a formal essay that you will present to an important child or children on their twenty-first birthday. In this essay, inform them of the most important rules you have chosen to guide your actions in life and propel you toward a rich, personally fulfilling life.

Dear Hayden, Gracie and Sophie,

I am writing this letter to give to you when you reach an age that you have to start taking control of your life. When there are many important choices to be made that can and may affect your whole life.I want you to know, that, I too have had to make such choices. I am sure I will still have many more to make.

The most important thing that I want to get across to you in this letter is how I have used my inner beliefs as a guide in most of my choices. I think it is important to share with you what my inner-beliefs are, so that you can consciously think about what you want your inner-beliefs to be that will guide you through your life.

I truly believe that we have a Father in Heaven who loves us as individuals, who, is readily available to us at all times whether we are in need of help or in need of expressing our gratitude. Many, many times I have had hard decisions to make or trials in my life and I have found strength and answers through prayer. I can also remember times of joy when I have had to immediately pray to express my gratitude.

I am convinced that it is our responsibility as human beings to love one another. To me this means so much more than how it sounds. We must always find a way to serve. This is not just good for who you serve but for you and your happiness. There will be times in your life when you have to accept service this is also important. It is also important not to judge people or put yourself above anyone. What goes around comes around, and how you treat people will directly affect how people treat you.

I hope that after reading my inner beliefs that you will be able to form your own foundation of basic inner beliefs that will help guide you through your life and bring you an abundance of happiness.

Thanks! This helped so much! I've read several
rather confusing websites lately, this cleared up a lot confusion I had.
